This Meiji period (1868 - 1912) Isho Dansu is one of the more unusual pieces we have in our collection as they're rarely found with more than five drawers.

This was likely used for the selling of kimono's in a shop. The locks are unusual for Japanese Dansu as they were usually made from Iron. Comes with a working key. Many Japanese antiques we find are poorly restored - We painstakingly restore each piece using traditional Japanese techniques to ensure these pieces last and are loved for many more life times to come.
