This charming two-tier brass tiffin (dabba) dates to the early 20th century and is a lovely example of traditional Indian domestic craftsmanship. Compact, practical, and beautifully aged, it features two stacking compartments secured beneath a domed lid, with a distinctive turned brass handle that locks the tiers firmly in place.
The brass surface shows an attractive aged patina along with the light marks and small dents expected from over a century of daily use. These historic details add warmth and authenticity. Today, these smaller tiffin boxes make excellent decorative pieces, jewellery storage, or unique serving vessels for dry foods.
