Indian Reclaimed Carved Teak Mirror

This decorative reclaimed teak mirror has been made using old timber salvaged from traditional Indian buildings. Although the mirror itself is newly constructed, the use of reclaimed architectural wood gives it the character, texture and individuality of a much older piece.

The tall frame surrounds an elegant arched mirror and is decorated with hand-carved floral and scrolling foliate motifs at each corner. A distressed, limed finish softens the rich tones of the old teak, highlighting the carved details and emphasising the natural marks, variations and patina of the reclaimed timber.

A characterful and environmentally friendly way of reusing old Indian architectural materials, this mirror works particularly well in a hallway, bedroom or bathroom and combines easily with both antique and contemporary interiors.
