This beautifully carved mirror is made from an old Indian window frame from Shekhawati. Shekhawati is famed for its distinctive carvings framed with lacquer beading. Shekhawati architecture is often made from teak however this is made using roheda. A layer of pitch can be seen in places protecting architecture from sandstorms.
