This fabulous coffee table is an antique Indian daybed known as a takhat. Takhats were originally used as daybeds by the wealthy merchant classes in Rajasthan, particularly in the Shekhawati area. This takhat is from Hyderabad in South India and dates to the 19th century and constructed from teak wood.

This beautifully hand-crafted coffee table is finished with a wonderful rich patina and would make an impressive rustic centerpiece for a living room, conservatory, or summer house.
