Green Painted Ammunition 'Limber' Chest - 19th Century

This antique limber chest would have been used by the British Army in India in the late 19th century. Constructed from dense, seasoned teak, each chest was designed to bear immense weight — sometimes over three times its own — ensuring its reliability on the battlefield.
