Erasi rugs are Afghan rugs which are created by the Erasi tribe who are nomadic and inhabit mainly Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. They are expertly woven and are usually dyed with deep reds and blues which give them a comforting and cosy feel. The design is often repeating and consists of geometric shapes with complex borders. Used traditionally as being a fast way to lay down comfy and attractive flooring for nomadic families and also as prayer rugs.

Even though this rug is 100 years old it's still in very good condition, and given the right care it can easily reach another 100.
