Harkening back to the simpler times of the 19th century, our glass handi pendant lights radiate light through your home.
Each lamp is skillfully hand blown by skilled artisanal glass blowers and then etched by hand. They're wired & tested by our team in the UK.
These glass lamps are known in India as handis or hundis and the name originated from the similarity in shape to a cooking pot. This style of pendant originated in Europe and was exported to India as lighting for large homes and palaces in the 19th century candles or oil lamps would have been placed inside with a glass lid to prevent soot from marking the ceiling. Many survived on the tall ceilings unlike their European counterparts which were taken down and smashed when electricity arrived.
*Please note glass may have small imperfections*
