Finely carved from Roheda wood, with a classical chip carved design, this hut shaped box is typical of the style in Rajasthan.

Used in the old days for storage of the family dowry.

This particular box has especially beautiful carvings. Bound with iron and brass this is an excellent example of what is now becoming rarer to find on our travels.
