Green & Black Painted Sideboard - Old Pine

This characterful Chinese sideboard is made from reclaimed old pine and finished in a richly layered green and black painted surface. Although not an antique, it is constructed using timber salvaged from old buildings, giving the piece genuine age, texture, and a naturally worn patina that cannot be replicated artificially. The softly distressed paintwork reveals traces of earlier layers beneath, creating depth and visual interest across the surface.

The design is inspired by traditional northern Chinese storage furniture, with a long, low profile and simple architectural lines. Its muted green tones sit comfortably alongside the darker blackened areas, making it an easy piece to place in both contemporary and more rustic interiors.

The sideboard features three doors with ring-pull hardware, opening to reveal practical internal storage with removable shelving, ideal for use in a dining room, living space, or hallway.
