Camphor Trunks were usually made in pairs - one each for husband & wife. They were used to store clothing.
The simple design is pure Ming in style Camphor wood is moth & insect repellent and protects silk from damage.
The fittings are made from brass and are original unless otherwise stated.
They date from the 19th century to the early 20th century.
