This bronze seated Buddha is a high-quality reproduction, finely cast with detailed robes and seated upon a traditional double lotus throne.

The Buddha is depicted performing the Dhyana mudra, the gesture of meditation and contemplation. Both hands rest in the lap, with the right hand placed upon the left and the palms facing upwards. This mudra is traditionally associated with the Buddha’s deep meditation beneath the Bodhi tree before attaining enlightenment.

An excellent museum-quality reproduction, the substantial bronze casting and finely rendered detail make this an impressive decorative piece as well as a representation of one of the most important gestures in Buddhist iconography.
