Celadon Glaze Porcelain Bottle Vase Lamp

This beautiful table lamp is crafted from a Chinese celadon porcelain vase. Celadon was favoured by nobles and the wealthy classes due to a myth that it would break if poisoned food or liquid was put inside. it also resembles the colour of jade, which has been considered a sacred stone in China since pre-history.

The lamp base is made by hand in the traditional way with a classic black base, twisted brown-gold flex, and antique brass fittings. 

We've wired this lamp in the UK. Chinese porcelain is steeped in centuries of culture and history.
