This hand carved limed mango daybed echoes the seating of marble Mughal thrones seen in Rajasthani palaces, reinterpreted here as a generous decorative daybed for modern interiors. Its raised back, scrolled crest, pierced panels and balustered apron 

The carving is the true focus of the piece. Across the backrest, a central kalasha-inspired motif sits among scrolling floral designs, with forms reminiscent of breadfruit, foliage and the rhythmic carving found on Gujarati Malabar chests linked to Indian Ocean dhow trade. The pale limed finish softens the detail, giving the daybed a calm, architectural presence while allowing the handwork to remain beautifully visible.
