These beautifully carved Indian panels were carved from local teak trees by local tribal people. They were symbols of their favorite deity hung on the walls of tribal village huts in Andhra Pradesh. They would have been cherished and interacted with on a daily basis. They look great hung on a wall as a group.
This particular panel depicts a Nandi bull on the lintel. The Nandi Bull is a symbol of Lord Shiva and cows are still revered and continue to wander the streets in India.
Supplied fitted with a wall hanger.
