This carved Indian peacock panel is a lintel which would have been used above a doorway to a home. It has been salvaged from a building fallen into disrepair in the South Indian state of Andra Pradesh,

This particular piece dates from the 18th century and would look fabulous on a wall or above a mantle piece.
