This magnificent horse head started out as a corbel from a grand doorway in India, where the horse is a symbol of prosperity. Crafted in the 19th century from solid teak wood it is beautifully carved from a single piece of wood, it has been mounted on a simple iron stand to produce a wonderful sculpture. 

The wonderful deep carvings are complimented by a rich patina and patches of old red paint.
