This ornately carved teak mirror is made from an original Indian door from Uttar Pradesh. It features a beautiful example of the 'endless knot' motif. This motif is found in many cultures and is known as srivatsa in Hinduism meaning 'connected to Shree' (Lakshmi). Lakshmi is often associated with wealth & good fortune.

The door frame dates to the 19th century and has been adapted and fitted with modern mirror glass. It features a beautiful endless knot design around the frame. As these doors are reclaimed from buildings they're also environmentally friendly.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, this mirror is designed to be hung portrait or used as a leaner mirror. Brackets for wall mounting can be supplied on request.
