Looking for a dramatic entrance to your room or as a statement piece in your home, a retail space or film set? This door comes from a Punjabi haveli and dates from the second half of the 18th century. It is made from teak.

These doors are saved from buildings in India that have fallen into a state of disrepair and are no longer in a repairable state. As with most Indian doors, they would have originally operated on a pin and post system and not on hinges. The frame has been customised to allow for hanging with modern hinges. They would have originally opened inwards.

Although this is a heavy piece, Indigo Antiques have a trained delivery team to bring it into your home. We can provide assembly advice to your builders however we will need to discuss your hinge and hanging requirements before arranging delivery. Hinges may incur a small additional charge depending on your specifications.
