This Indian stone carving of an apsara is a reproduction in the style of an 11th century Indian statue. The Aspara were a set of beautiful mythical female celestial beings who danced for and entertained the gods. The Aspara can be seen with a parrot in her hand and a feeding peacock at her feet.

On Earth, Apsara would often manifest as water nymphs. They were often featured in artwork, sculptures, and stories of various Indian cultures.
