Carved Mango Wood Mirror With Painted Finish

This decorative carved mango wood mirror is newly made in India using traditional carving techniques. The substantial frame is richly worked with repeating carved patterns and beaded detailing, giving the mirror the character and depth associated with traditional Indian decorative woodwork.

A distressed painted finish has been applied across the carved surface, highlighting the detail of the carving while allowing areas of the warm mango wood to show through beneath. The deliberately worn appearance gives the mirror plenty of texture and character, making it equally suited to traditional and contemporary interiors.

Mango wood is a sustainable timber, typically harvested once mature mango trees have reached the end of their productive fruit-bearing life. The timber can then be repurposed for furniture and decorative pieces rather than being discarded.
