Brass Plated Square Bajot Prayer Table From Shekhawati - 19th Century

This antique Indian bajot low table is a lovely little example of the style dating to the 19^th century. It is from Shekhawati in Rajasthan and would have been multifunctional, used for day to day dining and also for displaying leisure paraphernalia such as opium or writing equipment. It is made from roheda wood bound with hand beaten sheet brass.
