Blue & White Porcelain Rice Jar - Double Happiness Design

This Rice jar is hand made on the potters wheel in the traditional way, then hand painted with the Double Happiness symbol before firing. This is the most sought after of all designs, it's an old tradition in China and used commonly at weddings and celebrations. Blue and white porcelain is glazed using a transparent porcelain glaze dating back to the Tang Dynasty - 618 - 907
