This striking blue and white table lamp features yuan dynasty style painted fish amongst seaweed and aquatic plants. It stands on a matt black walnut base and is finished with antique brass lamp fittings. It fits into both a contemporary design or a more traditional style home. Crafted in Jingdezhen, this lamp is inspired by the exquisite works found in the Tokyo Museum of Art. The fish is a longstanding symbol of wealth in China as the Chinese symbol for fish 'yu' can also be translated to 'abundance'. In ancient China, a fish in water symbolised marital harmony.

Wired & tested in the UK. This lamp is truly striking and would be an iconic addition to any room. Our porcelain is hand-made in small workshops on a potters wheel in the traditional way and hand painted in China.
