This Chinese blue & white reproduction porcelain vase is beautifully hand painted with a bamboo & prunus tree design. Prunus (or plum blossom) is the symbol of resilience & perseverance, especially in the harsh winters. It's also Taiwan's national flower. Bamboo symbolises loyalty, integrity, and honesty as even during storms, it bends without breaking.

This darker cobalt shade of blue is often called Hongwu blue, characterised by the cobalt blue pigment containing purplish hues.

All our reproduction Chinese porcelain is made in Jingdezhen which has been the capital of Chinese porcelain production since 1004 AD. The famous imperial kilns have been sited there since the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644 AD).
