This characterful mirror is made from reclaimed Teak wood salvaged from India, retaining layers of old blue and pale paint from its former architectural life. The simple reeded frame has a wonderfully weathered surface, with areas of worn paint revealing the natural timber beneath.
The frame has been repurposed with new mirror glass to create a practical decorative mirror while preserving the attractive patina of the original timber. It can be hung portrait or landscape; please let us know your preferred orientation at the time of purchase so that the appropriate fittings can be supplied.
This is not an antique, but is made using old reclaimed wood salvaged from India, giving historic materials a new purpose and providing an environmentally friendly alternative to using newly harvested timber.
