These 19th century Chinese doors are impressive, both aesthetically and structurally. Crafted from robust northern elm wood (yumu) which has bleached over many years of direct sunlight.  These doors are reclaimed from buildings in Shanxi. Monumental with heavy iron bindings, they are a stunning addition to any home or collection.

The ironwork features delicately crafted animals; frogs turtle, tigers & birds. The door ring pulls are held in place by fantastical beasts, a lovely detail.

These two doors are designed to open centrally, however, can be customised to work on a sliding system. We can also assist you with choosing the right hinges and supply them at a small extra cost.
