This excellent example of a Mongolian black lacquer sideboard features beautiful paintings of vases and flowers on the doors, these are enclosed in a repeating geometric design. This design is often referred to as the 'scholarly objects' design. The body of the cabinet is constructed from cedar wood. This style of painting can be found in the areas of Qinghai and Inner Mongolia. The lacquer and painting are original dating from the 19th century - It also has its original brass hardware. 

 

This piece offers two large interior compartments fitted with removable shelves and four drawers.
