Indian Almirah Wardrobe From Gujarat - 19th Century

An exceptional 19th-century teak almirah from Saurashtra, western India, this piece showcases masterful hand-carving with radiating sunburst panels, which show a strong Portugese influence, and intricate central medallions.

A striking example of regional craftsmanship, the doors are embellished with deeply incised sunburst motif and floral rosettes, adding both symmetry and bold presence.
