Chinese traditional medicine was stored in this fabulous 45 drawer apothecary chest, it still has most of the original painted drawer labels naming the various natural minerals and herbs that were mixed by the practitioner for each patient. Constructed from pine & Elm all of the 42 small drawers have 3 individual compartments inside.
