This black lacquer Chinese console table is from Shanxi province in Northern China and is made from elm. It dates to the late 19th century, towards the end of Qing dynasty (1644 €“ 1911). It is constructed in the Ming style and has original brass hardware.

A very useful piece of furniture for hallways or as a desk.
