This colonial Indian book cabinet dates to the 19th century, the time of the British Raj. It likely is from Gujarat in North India.

This is a fine example of the style with a glass fronting and carved frieze.

The cabinet has double doors opening to reveal five teakwood shelves. It has been sympathetically restored in our workshops and has retained its original brass hardware and bun feet.
