This Anglo-Indian military chest of drawers was originally used by officers of the British Indian Army to carry their kit and personal possessions whilst on tour. As they had to withstand a lot of punishment in transit, they were exceptionally well made.

This campaign chest of drawers dates to the 19th century and is constructed from rosewood. It has been restored in our Wiltshire workshops and has seen a very hard life. Although rosewood is a strong wood, there are various dents and signs of heavy use over the years. The corners and escutcheons are brass and it can be split into two for easier transport.
