This charming 19th-century stone lamp niche from Jaisalmer is hand carved from the region’s distinctive golden sandstone, long celebrated for its warm colour and use throughout the desert architecture of Rajasthan. Featuring a beautifully balanced twin-arched opening beneath stylised floral carving, the piece reflects the refined craftsmanship and Indo-Islamic influences associated with the historic havelis and forts of Jaisalmer.
Traditionally positioned beside doorways to hold small oil lamps or candles, these architectural niches once cast a warm glow across courtyards and entranceways. Today, they make striking decorative wall pieces both indoors and outdoors, equally effective displayed alone or illuminated with tea lights. Each panel is supplied with strong wall hangers and mounting plates for secure installation.
