Mongolian Sideboard with original painting dating from the 19th century.
Originally, this painted sideboard would have been used to store bedding and clothes. It opened from the top, but to make it more practical to use the front panels have been modified to doors and internal shelves. Unusual for this type of piece the bottom carving has been converted into 2 very handy drawers at the bottom of the sideboard.

The painting depicts scenes of Mongolian children playing.

Such a beautiful piece of furniture that would look fabulous in a bedroom or sitting room.
