About Us

We've been at Dairy Barn since 2001, but did you know we were one of the first people to export antiques from India back in the early 1970's? Owners Marion & Richard Lightbown have come a long way since their beginnings in Camden Lock Market, growing to create a true destination store for anyone with a love of Asia and the Orient. Read the full story below.

We personally source every piece and restore most pieces in our workshops on site which means we guarantee authenticity on all antiques we sell.

It's a challenge to illustrate the sheer variety available and size of our showrooms, but a good start is a video. See a sneak peak of the Indigo showroom before you arrive with this atmospheric video filmed earlier this year.

Dairy Farm's History

Our iconic showroom & warehouse has as much history as the beautiful antiques it holds. Under George Odlum's ownership in the 1st half of the 20th century, it was once the most productive dairy farm in the world responsible for the breeding of the nationally and internationally acclaimed ‘Manningford herd' pedigree of Friesian cattle. In the late 1920's the farm held 217 animals in contrast to the country average of 22 cows per dairy farmer.
