These old Indian cooking pots were used in India for day-to-day cooking in a process known as 'dum cooking' where the pot is sealed and food is cooked over a long time resulting in a strong infusion of flavors without the loss of liquid.
Beautifully hand carved, these stone pots would make great natural planters for succulents and other plants in your home.
Although the stone is frostproof water should be drained during freezing weather to avoid cracking.
