This vintage table is constructed from a cypress wood (Bǎimù 柏木) frame with a rosewood (huali 花梨) central panel. This style of table would have been used as stools or side tables and has been produced in China since the Ming dynasty.

This particular table is from Hong Kong and dates back to the 1950's. Its warm colours would fit into any room, it makes a wonderful conversation piece and can still be used as per its original purpose.
