Framed Japanese Tadakiyo Woodblock Print by Torii Kiyotada - Published by Hasegawa Toshimitsu in April 1896 -

Entitled "Ichikawa Danjuro IX als Soga no Goro Tokimune " - This print depicts the actor Ichikawa Danjuro IX in the role of Soga no Goro Tokimune. The white stylised butterfly motif on his red sleeves is the emblem of Soga no Goro Tokimune. The symbol and the langoustine on his armor are emblems of the Ichikawa family.

Supplied in an old Black Lacquered Frame with some minor damage to the frame.
