Korean morijang cabinets are the smallest of the three main staples of Korean antique furniture and fit perfectly into a modern home as a bedside cabinet. This Korean morijang dates from the 1980's and is crafted from zelkova red elm. This chest can be dated from its more gold coloured brass. The earlier the cabinet, the whiter the brass.

These morijang cabinets first came into use in the late 18th century and were used as headside chests near the mattress in the women's quarter for storing lingerie and small accessories.
