This impressive antique Indian door is bound with iron & brass and dates to the 19th century. The unique style of architecture is found across the northern band of Rajasthan - mainly in Shekhawati and sometimes in Bikaner. These doors would originally have had a dramatic door frame and opened inwards on a pillar and post system. The heavy brass chain would have been used to lock the doors to the external frame when leaving the house. The overall design and arch show a strong Mughal influence. The shape of these doors bears similarities to the doors of the Jaipur City Palace.

These doors are supplied on a stand but can be wall mounted or incorporated into a building with relative ease. We can advise on hanging instructions as well as supply wall hangers on request.
