This charming watercolour depicts Krishna with Radha in a mountainous landscape sheltering from the rain under a dramatic sky. Krishna, instantly recognisable by his blue skin, is followed by a herd of sacred cows.
This piece is from the Rajasthani school of painting (Kishangarh style)
Supplied in its original distressed gilt frame, with some chipping on the bottom edge, right corner & top left corner.
