Spring Bench From Shanxi Province - 19th Century

These antique Chinese benches date from the 19^th century and are over 120 years old. Known as spring benches, these pretty elm benches used to be seen outside shops and small restaurants in China and were used by both staff and customers to enjoy the fresh air. Please note that the legs of all these benches are splayed.
