This dramatic South Indian Ganesha carving stands nearly two meters tall and is a work of art. Ganesha is seen in dance, standing on one leg over diminutive Lakshmi & Saraswati, both seated in lalitasana. Lakshmi is on the left in abhaya & varada mudras, bestowing fearlessness & bliss. Saraswati is on the right playing playing her vina, a stringed musical instrument.

The six armed Ganesha carries an elephant goad, noose, broken tusk, mace, mango & serpent.  A Yali lion protector spirit overlooks Ganesh. Yali were commonly found in South Indian carvings and protected humanity both physically & spiritually.

This is a lovingly carved reproduction piece carved in the traditional way by Indian craftsmen.
