Reclaimed Bleached Long Console Table

This particularly long and dramatic console table is crafted from reclaimed teak wood salvaged from old buildings in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Although not an antique in its current form, it incorporates genuinely old carved architectural elements, carefully rescued and reassembled to celebrate the richness of Gujarati design tradition. The result is a striking statement piece that captures the spirit of 19th century Indian craftsmanship while offering the strength and functionality required for contemporary interiors.

The frieze is richly adorned with deeply carved scrolling foliage, stylised floral motifs and rhythmic bead-and-rosette detailing, all executed by hand. The substantial legs feature intricate vegetal carving and geometric panels, echoing the ornament found on grand haveli facades. The natural bleached teak finish highlights the depth of carving and the beautiful patina of the aged wood, while the long, slender proportions give the piece an elegant architectural presence.
