Chinese traditional medicine was stored in this fabulous Apothecary Chest, it still has most of the original painted drawer labels naming the various natural minerals and herbs that were mixed by the practitioner for each patient. Constructed from pine & Elm all of the 44 small drawers have 3 individual compartments inside.
