This handsome brass-bound military chest of drawers is a part of Anglo-Indian history. Crafted from solid teak, this piece of campaign furniture was originally twice as tall and had another set of double drawers stacked on top. Dating from the 19th century it features recessed brass handles, brass corner mounts, and traditional campaign construction that allowed pieces to be easily dismantled and transported during military campaigns.

This half campaign chest is a practical and elegant option for cottages, either for a bed end or as a tv or av stand.

The chest rests on turned bun feet, giving it a more domestic and practical presence. Lovingly restored in our Wiltshire workshops, it retains its rich teak patina while offering excellent functionality as a compact storage piece. Campaign furniture such as this was prized by officers of the British Raj, combining portability with refined craftsmanship.
