Painted Balcony From Shekavati - Rajasthan - 19thC

This wonderful stone balcony is from Shekavati in Rajasthan.
Shekavati has always been associated with very fine painting of it's buildings, furniture and boxes.
This Jharoka window is very unusual, painted in lovely mineral colours it dates from the early 19thC
It is made from stone and plaster work with a carved wooden opening widow.
It would look fabulous built into a bathroom or over a tall stairwell.
