Inside is a large storage space with the original candle box to one side, while a chain prevents the lid from opening too far and placing strain on the hinges.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe chest has been sympathetically restored in our Wiltshire workshop, retaining the marks, wear and character acquired through more than two centuries of use.
